Tri-Valley is the kind of place a town keeps: booths, a long counter, a menu that runs from farm-fresh eggs at six in the morning to steak and chops at night, and the kind of service people come back for.
Peter and Stacy Panagiotou opened it in 1975. When it closed in 1997, people kept telling the family they missed it — so in 2003 Peter’s daughter Sandy brought it back, and she has run it ever since. The cooking is Greek, American and Italian, all of it made here.
The building started as an ice cream parlor, and that never really left: sundaes, milkshakes and now soft serve are still on the menu. Bring the kids, bring your parents, and if Colors the Clown is in that night, expect balloon animals.

Peter and Stacy Panagiotou open Tri-Valley in what had been the Northern Valley Ice Cream Parlor.

Peter sells the business; an Italian restaurant takes over the room.
2003
Regulars keep asking for it back. Peter’s daughter Sandy reopens Tri-Valley.

Sandy runs the room, Peter advises, and the food is still made in-house.

The room was an ice cream parlor before it was a diner. Sundaes, milkshakes and soft serve cones are still on the menu.

Everyone that works there is excellent and service is great. Some of the food is excellent (like their pancakes and omelets) but I wasn't the biggest fan of their huevos rancheros. Also they only have Manhattan clam chowder (no New England), but they were super nice about it and allowed us to change the order.
